Have you ever wanted to be a wizard or witch? After the Harry Potter movies came out everyone wanted to be a student at Hogwarts! Guess what, you still can be by having your own Harry Potter party!
Although the last Harry Potter movie came out in 2011, the hype surrounding the young wizard is still here (especially since J.K. Rowling is writing new novels). Eeek! Super excited!
Harry Potter is definitely in the same ranks as Star Wars (in my opinion). What I mean in terms of it being a movie franchise that inspired a whole new subculture.
Truth be told, the hype was real even before the movies came out. But with the movies, everyone learned who Harry Potter was. And for Harry Potter fans, arts, crafts, and accessories are a critical part of their lifestyle.
That being said, I have some crafts here that you can easily make. You can use dollar store finds and household items for an absolutely magical effect for your birthday or Halloween party!
When I was younger my mom created a whole party for my younger brothers birthday right before going to the first Harry Potter movie came out. I knew back then that Harry Potter was going to be huge. Years later I helped my cousin create a Harry Potter birthday party for her daughter who was turning 11!
Here are some of the photos of what we did to create our own Harry Potter birthday party.
So now it’s time to create your own Harry Potter inspired party!
