XO, Katie Rosario is where you will learn how to decorate your first cake, see delicious new recipes every week, and easy to follow cake decorating tutorials.
Cakes create memories that last a lifetime whether its a wedding, birthdays, baby showers, or a cozy Friday night shared with loved ones. Cake has become a staple to celebrate our lives greatness milestones.
Hi, I’m Katie and the kitchen is my happy place. I knew I wasn’t meant for the typical college track after high school I went to culinary school in Los Angeles, where I concentrated on my love of baking and picked up cake decorating.
After graduating in 2012, I worked 2-3 jobs at once, working early mornings at a bakery then working afternoons/nights as an assistant for Food Network shows like Cupcake Wars and Cake Wars.
In my free time, I would make custom cakes and desserts for clients. This would fill me with so much joy that I created wonderful memories for them but also I was working for myself.
In 2015, I quit working as a pastry chef in Beverly Hills with no income but with hopes to make my home baking business work out. I didn’t know how I was going to do it but I did know I didn’t want to work for anyone else.
I slowly started making an income and booking more clients. Doing anything I could to make money with baking and cake decorating.
My home baking business grew enough that I focused my attention on food blogging. In 2016, I started this blog to share my love of cooking and baking. I gave myself one year to figure out how to make this small blog into my full-time income so I wouldn’t have to take another regular job again.
Here we are 3 years later and I have managed to double my pastry chef income and teach hundreds of students!
Looking back at the last 10 years everything has just fallen into place. I’m living my dream life, traveling when I want, and working in dream venues. Every day I get excited about a new recipe to test out or a fun cake design that I can’t wait to share with you!
XO, Katie Rosario now serves as a place for home bakers and cooks to get their daily inspiration for delicious desserts and gorgeous food. In essence, the recipes you find on XO, Katie Rosario are made with you in mind, working around your busy schedules, planning family gatherings, and attending holiday parties!
