Let’s Get Crafty!
1. Egg Hunt
An egg hunt is a classic Easter activity that’s always a hit with the kids. You can buy plastic eggs filled with treats like candy, stickers, small erasers, jewelry charms, etc., or use hard-boiled eggs dyed with food coloring. Hide them around your yard or house, then send your little ones on an adventure!
2. Decorative Paper Baskets
Get into the spirit of spring with some bright colors by making decorative paper baskets. All you need are some brightly colored construction paper, scissors, glue sticks, and your imagination! Cut shapes out of the paper (circles, stars, hearts) and glue two layers together to make a pocket shape that you can fill with candy or other goodies as an added surprise for those who find it at the end of the egg hunt.
3. Bunny Ears Headbands
Add some giggles to Easter morning by making bunny ears headbands! You only need cardstock paper and pipe cleaners in pink or white (or whatever colors you prefer). Have each family member create their own unique set of bunny ears – color them in themselves or cut out pre-made designs from magazines – then attach them to a headband base made from pipe cleaners twisted around each other. They’ll be hopping in style!
4. Bunny Masks
Get crafty this Easter by making bunny masks from simple materials like cardstock and elastic string. Cut two large oval shapes out of cardstock and let each person design their mask with decorations like googly eyes, cotton balls for whiskers, and pompoms for noses using markers or crayons. Then attach the elastic string at either side, so the masks fit snugly over your heads when it comes time for photos!
5. Cross Wreaths
Create something special this Easter by having each person make their cross wreath using twigs from outdoors, wooden skewers from the store, and decorations like markers, paint pens, and ribbons. Arrange them all into a circle-shaped wreath, then hang them on your door as decoration throughout the season!
6. Wooden Egg Ornaments
Show off your artistic skills by creating adorable wooden egg ornaments that can be hung up year after year! Using wood craft supplies such as jigsaw puzzles pieces (or Spirographs if you don’t have jigsaw puzzles), acrylic paints, wire hangers, and ribbon thread through each piece until they resemble eggs when hung up on trees or walls during Easter celebrations – perfect for adding extra cheer in any room!
7. Homemade Cards
Let everyone express their creativity with homemade cards! All you need are colored cardstock papers, stickers, gems, glitter glue, whatever decorations you feel inspired to use, and lots of love when writing messages inside. You can also include photos from past Easters, so everyone has something tangible they can treasure forever!
8. Fingerprint Carrots
Make fingerprints even more fun this Easter by turning them into carrots! Using different colored paints, dabbed on fingers plus foam boards (for cutting shapes), press fingerprints onto the foam boards, then cut out carrot & chick shapes once dry – bonus points if adult participants make an extra effort to help younger children complete theirs too!
9. Birdseed Feeders
Attract beautiful birds into your backyard while celebrating Easter by making bird feeders! Melt vegetable shortening mixed with bird seed onto cookie cutters, then hang them outside after they dry – this will give hungry birds something delicious to snack on during springtime! Not only will these feeders look pretty, but they’ll also bring wildlife closer than ever before!
10. Candy Bouquets
Brighten up any room this Easter by creating colorful bouquets. All you need are cellophane cones filled with candies (such as jelly beans, chocolate eggs, and marshmallows ), Styrofoam balls, ribbons, scissors & glue sticks – put everything together, then display them proudly wherever needed!
